Marriage Kannada Quotes

forever parked Eastern Dance and dark dance company

This article I wrote for the Web Gothoriental Dream Festival to be held from 26 to 31 July in Barcelona.

Oriental dance is considered a dance that is lost in the history of humanity, especially in the Middle East. It is a dance of ancient reminiscences.

The taste for oriental dance in the West is largely due to the taste for Orientalism in the late nineteenth century. Famous figures such as Mata Hari, Isadora Duncan or Tortola Valencia sounded until the early twentieth century, but it was not until the mid-twentieth century that belly dancing began to penetrate, in various shapes and tastes in the West, from America to Russia. Could represent a mysterious dance, sensual or even erotic, but the truth is that has always attracted all kinds of people, especially women by their movements and symbols.

Oriental dance, as we dream, or belly dancing, actually derives various dances from North Africa, Near and Middle East to India, and the resulting mergers and upgrades, and has not always shown a dance of joy. Like any dance, can help convey other emotions, even the darkest of human beings or sad, longing, fear, betrayal, ...

The use of oriental dances to represent a wide range of human emotions and universal is almost as long as the same oriental dance, oriental dance and Egyptian, and not just talking about the ritual dances.

During their penetration of the western public, and the light and medium acculturation western "part of the Arab countries, belly dancing turned to less traditional models, and gradually introduced mergers between them oriental dances, or other dances of the Far East or the world (African dance, samba, Polynesian dances, ballet ...). Also begun an experiment with their own concepts of contemporary dance.

therefore not surprising that in the margins of Western society in a society Conjuntura launching a process of creating alternative movements and trends, or even urban tribes, towards the end of the twentieth century, oriental dance being affected.

The Gothic, a movement born around the 80s and inspired by Romanticism, with a small base in the breakaway punk and somewhat critical of society, found in the Oriental dance form of expression suitable, sinuous dances, sensual, exotic, mysterious, ancient, symbolic, and could supply some of the expressions of this movement.

As Tempest said (a dancer emblematic of this dance): "A goths like shiny things, elaborate costumes, passionate music, and dramatic. At Eastern dancers will Shiny Things, elaborate costumes, passionate music, and dramatic. Sooner or later the two camps had to match ... "

Thus, at a time and place not very well defined, originated what has been called raqs gothique, which is an" Asian fusion "between dance Eastern and conversion movements and attitudes of the Gothic, which was gradually picking up especially in the U.S., Germany and the UK a special weight.

In the late 90s there was a new situation, is that traditional standards belly dance or Oriental dance began to "break" to evolve in new ways. New mergers, concepts, and even new styles like American tribal and tribal fusion. The first intended to return to the state "tribal" of Oriental dance with their groups, their strong women's movement, improvisation, costume loaded and ethnic music purist.

The latter appeared to be the most broken one, fusing American tribal dances not only with other but with the new trends alternatives, in addition to the gothic, cyberpunk, industrial, ... It was a dance that already seemed very mystical, ritual, strong, and quickly attracted to the Gothic, creating the tribal goth and dark tribal . Although

Gothic socially seen as a tendency to aggressive, or marginalized as many other alternative trends in dance has represented a new path of evolution and understanding. That is why many practitioners and dancers have gone into these styles to broaden their skills and their understanding of dance and the connection to the feeling.

is a dance technique that not only claims, or to dress in black, but also the feeling in action and expression, feel the forces being represented, as the Gothic is dramatic, epic and romantic.

How To Connect Monitor Speakers To Mixer

organize events, event types and a problem in oriental dance

I have a little time to write about something I had long wanted to write. "Sorry for the absence! -

A month ago, say, a friend and organizer of the International Synchronization Hafla (the famous Hafla we simultaneously between many countries and tribaleras), told us in an informal session of talks that a person of the professional world during the first Hafla (last year), criticized him he had to know where was his place, to organize a Hafla by a student was not right.

And is not the first time I've heard, that of a student, or a short time leading dancer in the dance, most if not professionally engaged, you should not organize any type of event (hafla, show, festival, whatever) but leads or right time-usually show at least 6 years, or engages professionally.

between some dancers, I do not know enough or not, defined guidelines for development of the dancer, or official or accepted by everyone, but general among them, that even tends to be codified in a number of years of dance in a few styles of dance where studies are poorly regulated, if not sometimes even zero.

theoretical developments of the dancer "belly"
  • Student (which is to say that in principle never ceases to be even by those who established these guidelines), 0 to 4 years approx.
  • Dancer, 4 years to 6-8 years (varies greatly depending on who says or factors to be taken). This is, in principle, even for a professional dancer. This phase includes the formation of a dance troupe.
  • Professor, from 6-8 years, but begins to be accepted that someone from 4 years of introductory workshops or very specific things, also depends on its theoretical technique or recognized. Ride your own
  • Academy / School from the age of 10, with previous experience as a teacher.
  • organize events, from 6-8 years, or even after 10 years.
As you can see, despite a deque / a dancer / she can learn faster or slower, as any person, or spend 1 hour a week, or rather another 10 hours a week to put more or less the years-although I have already criticized as often not regulated and therefore should not mean a few degrees of real-dance, more or less the pattern, the first three points are the most logical, common sense.

A person who does not have the basics of a dance will not get to teach, well, you can be, but little could teach ", nor may make a minimally rich choreography, not just talk about technique, obviously, to is considered out of the "amateur." She also has a consistency that a person who has experience not only as a dancer, with a technique and a style firmly in place, but a good teacher, you can create your own school / school. Clearly, there is something not mandatory, and can also exercise the "founder" of an academy even a person who has no dance studios have provided in attachments to someone who does have. Management, entrepreneurship and business skills are not things you learn to dance, are taught with other kinds of studies.

And finally, organizing events, is already at least in my view has always seemed so absurd and I'm not alone, and I speak even professionals even have their own school who share this vision. And referring to what I criticize.

To organize a dance event of any kind, must be "someone" of Oriental dance professionally and even, occasionally, in the scene. If you arrange it as a student, or as unknown dancer, you are someone who want to draw attention, forward role, or arrogance. Each person in the world of dance should be very clear about his position. Obviously, any time you have been taught while taking this dance class to organize, manage, coordinate and launch an event of any kind.

I have a theory that this is because on many occasions, many artists have created their own shows, in most cases with your name somewhere in the title of the event (such twinkie gala, a show hosted by sotanita, Somebody's niece's Show), to be known, to show their work, such as marketing support, or reasons similiares. And the habit led to believe that all events organized by one of the world dance, were for the same purposes.

Before continuing, step breakdown of the types of events that at least I know, hoping that I can not escape no-in the world of dance and more specifically of the eastern.

- As marketing tool, to be released, or to work professionally, on the same host or an artist brought from abroad, or on behalf of a company / person organizing ... (All can be "guest stars"):
  • Show theme: show more or less long duration (about an hour at least) where most pieces are from artists artist organizer / brought / retained. They usually work a story, a theme, idea ... Usually professional caliber performances due to his industry, and its thematic restrictions. If there are guest artists, the number of actions not normally exceed one piece for every six to / the artist / s top, more or less. Examples: a company's performance on the 1001 nights.
  • Show / gala / show: are events wherein the predominant number of performances / artists organizers, but there are more number of guest dancers from at least two, and often present the name of / the " actors "in the title or subtitle, or on the undercard of artists his name stands out above the other (being the first or last and usually in a font size larger or a different color, also have a presentation tagline "Presents : / Organization: / For :".... (not confusing if you are on the bottom or upper and lower size, very remote. It is then that they must indicate who organized). There is also the possibility that the / the artist / s main advantage of the opportunity to offer workshops on the same day or the day before or later.
  • Hafla: Hafla usually where the dominant company name next to "hafla." Events are small variable-length format from two hours to five separate dance-where most things are available: short workshops at discounted prices, for different things (dance, makeup, accessories making ,...), even some pica-pica or minibuffet pastries and tea, and an open stage for participants, although it is likely that the organizers have more prominence by presenting their own pieces, or showing their skills. These are events that deviate from the original essence of the Hafla, below will be differences, but because the structure of a Hafla is simple both organizations to provide, and their informality and simplicity are Wedding items and attract an audience that shuns formal structures or looking for something different, take this name (and also because it is Arabic). You must also say that the price of entry for hafla is usually very low or even non-profit work, or rather a very low profit. You can also give that a festival is given the name of Hafla, but is merely a title name rather than descriptive. Oh, and can also be a kind of celebration of a company that sells merchandise, apparel and accessories for dance, as well as a music group or artist.
- As a public event hosted With or without profit. Can be organized by both dancers / companies as business / professional. Organizing people can dance (if time permits) but should never exceed the number of parts or time on other participants, but it falls on the first type of event, intentionally or not, and that would be a disguised form. Do not give the feeling of ownership, it can sometimes be tricky.

  • Shows: can be themed or not, but all the participating artists have a more or less equal participation on stage, usually divided into several parts. Normally serves to encourage more dance or any aspect of this, or to promote the community, or mere entertainment show varied and more neutral.
  • Festival: can last a whole day at least, but also much longer, especially a week, three days or ten days. The basic idea is to present the topic (in this case, the Dance East) in many formats. Obviously, the more important one, or more, show or something similar to show the dance in its purest state with a large number-more than ten insurance-dancers, but as a festival of dance, show additional activities: workshops music concerts, lectures, conferences, bazaars, clothes and utensils for the dance and the like, ... Obviously, much depends also on the time, infrastructure (space for celebration), and especially the budget you are working, or even the availability of people collaborating to certain things (for example, not everywhere there are specialists who can discussing the theory of Andalusian dance, or Persian, or playing a certain type of musical style). A festival is usually cohesive, and in their shops not usually have a predominance of an artist giving workshops, unless it is justified (long workshops of two parts, a large public demand), for example, or acting, except in the first case where belly dancing or any of their styles are being introduced (especially the tribal dance, which at least is that I see more and is newer than n). An example I've seen is the Tribal Fest, U.S., CA, organized by Blacksheep Tribal, and dance festival.
  • Hafla: from Arabic, means celebration, party, and just like what happens with the Irish Ceilig represents that it is a celebration where people (and not so much talk about dancing, but is placed around the same level and non-demonstration, but a celebration of passion) Share: dance (which is surely the main thing in this case), music, food, ideas or knowledge (hence the derivation of offering workshops in the other format.) Another idea is to not stand still: they are all public and participants at a time. One of the natural ways to celebrate without words the joy and happiness of the meeting is to dance, especially in many cultures not only African or Semitic, but many other cultures. Basically the idea is to flow, connect and share.
Really organizing dance events has to be someone known and professional dancer?

If you try to do an event in the first category, with low levels of dance, creative, technical, cultural-is clearly not possible, but as an organizer, leaving dance side, has no sort of logic to say that you should not. While working consistently, and having no clear position in the world of dance in the aforementioned concept, but within their own event (eg, no dancing will someone who has taken two dance classes a show for professionals, that will be nagging their own work), there should be no problem.

may have great dancers who do not know an event, and I is like a potato and have to resort even to a professional (freelance or company) and there may be people who organize dance events correct and very good and do not know dance.

On the other hand, there should be no impediment to a student or professional dancer hafla could organize a show or the second characteristic of pure passion, and more particularly in the case of hafla. Although well organized or not, a Hafla is informal and serves more as a social gathering than anything.

At least this is my considered opinion.

Zaghareets!
